Home as sacred

One of my most impressionable experiences was working for a small firm immersed in interior design during college. It planted a seed that I’ve fallen in love with nurturing since becoming a first time homeowner last Spring in Atlanta. There is something spiritual about setting a table and creating an intimate space to invite someone into.

I grew up in a family that remodeled nearly every room in every home we lived in. My mom worked for a homemaking “visionary.” My grandfather was a builder and there’s nothing my dad and brother can’t make. Half the pieces in my home came from sitting down with them and a scratch sheet of paper, watching them bring my furniture ideas to life.

Today, I find joy in helping others’ curate a home that feels like their favorite place in the world – offering design + styling services both independently and for The Key Group’s residential properties. (Let’s talk about working together here!)

Travel as respite

I’ve had blogs since high school and dusted off this URL after spending a month in Greece in 2021. For years when I’d come home from a trip, family and friends would ask for recommendations. I’d spend hours pouring a whole itinerary into a word document – including hotels, restaurants and activities – and circulating it via email like it was 1995. Really; that’s where this one started. I visited my 22nd country last summer and want to share more places I love with people I love.

Glory in the mess + mundane

Beyond aesthetics, I like writing about hope, grit and seeking the fullest life – especially when things feel uncertain. Especially in months or years that are messy or quiet or unbeautiful. This looks different for all of us. We can put our arms together and pitch a tent in the waiting. I’m interested in faith outside of the limits and small boxes we put God in. And I love bringing this little corner of people on the internet along with me.

I’m so glad you’re here!
