Beautiful homes, accessible design in airbnbs around the world
Private 1 bedroom cottage in The Cotswolds, England.
This May will mark my fifth consecutive year working for an airline. After the past 4, I recently found a little tired and needing to orient to travel in a different way.
I’m trying to shift my relationship with holidays from spontaneous 3-day trips planned a night before to well thought out, week long+ vacations considered 6-8 months in advance. I realize this is how most of the world does travel, but hopping on a plane at the drop of a hat is core to airline culture (and often difficult to practice self-restraint).
This year, I’m looking forward to rhythms that are much more intentional + sustainable.
In the spirit of planning, I recently shared top picks for homes-away-from-home on Instagram and wanted to give the round up a permanent place to live.
One thing that advanced planning will do is open up the floodgates for many more options in terms of where to stay. I’m passionate about making good design more affordable + accessible. This was a fun post to uncover hidden gems that can be discovered with a little work. Of course, some of these places have their quirks, but all have something unique or special for the price that made them worthy of a spot on the list.
We’re looking at a few locations this year, including The Cotswolds, Mallorca (again) or the coast of Italy. It’s easy to share the places we’re eyeing as I need to do the research for myself – but will make this a living list where f options favorite options are added to in the future.
